Guatemala Delegation Grateful For 38 Years Of Missionary Life (Photo: OMI World)In Chicamán, Quiché, the Oblates of Guatemala gathered to mark 38 years of missionary life in the country, renewing their commitment during their annual assembly on July 2, the anniversary of the first five Oblates’ arrival. The celebration included prayer, shared reflections on joys and challenges, and gratitude for martyrs, lay communities, and collaborators who have sustained the mission. Nine Guatemalan Oblates have become priests and two Oblate Brothers, while others in initial formation continue discerning their vocation. Oblates from 12 nations have served in Guatemala, an intercultural Delegation within the Province of Mexico, as they entrusted their future to God’s call for new missionaries. Read more →
